Job Title: Administrative Assistant (Full Time)

Founded in 1983, the Chicago Chinatown Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization acting as the bridge for American Corporations and Government Agencies to establish connections with the Chinese/Asian organizations, businesses, residents and consumers, thereby developing an economic growth network. 
Chicago Chinatown Chamber of Commerce is seeking an Administrative Assistant, who will be responsible for administrative tasks, ranging from handling office supplies, managing volunteers, customer servicing to organizations under Chinatown Chamber, assistance in creating materials for events, answering calls and emails. The ideal candidate for this job should be resourceful, communicative, a good problem solver and organized, also with good computer skills. Assuring quality and promptness are also very important aspects of this job. Mandarin/Cantonese speaking is preferable.


Required Skills:
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator
  • Business Etiquette and Multi-Tasking Skills
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin/Cantonese 
  • High School Diploma/GED required; College Credits preferred
  • 1+ years’ full-time work experience preferred
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Manage office supplies.
  • Professionally answer calls and maintain organization’s public email box.
  • Facilitate meetings. Arrange food/beverage for Board Meetings.
  • Courteously greet guests and take care of their needs.
  • Support Chamber’s annual event (Dragon Boat Race, Gala, Miss Friendship pageant, Lunar New Year’s Diner, etc.) by sending out sponsorship solicitation letters and designing fliers/advertisements in a timely manner.
  • Service customers who purchase parking validations/tickets.
  • Help maintain Chamber’s social Medias: Facebook, Twitter, Weibo, WeChat.
  • Work with Prints and sponsors to create Annual Calendar. 
  • Coordinate with Newspaper/Medias for Chamber’s public activities (Business Luncheon, Summer Fair, etc)
  • Supports Executive Director and management on any other administrative tasks.
