All aboard! Wendella Sightseeing Boats is pleased to announce that July and August of 2015 were record months for water taxi ridership to Chinatown with over 30,000 riders brought to Ping Tom Memorial Park over the last two months. In 2015, Chicago Water Taxi is on pace to exceed their goal of bringing 45,000 riders to Chinatown during the season.
The majority of Chicago Water Taxi passengers to Chinatown are either suburbanites coming into the city from Union or Ogilvie Train Stations, or tourists staying in the Hotel District located in the River North/Magnificent Mile area. When exploring Chinatown most water taxi riders say visiting one of the neighborhood restaurants is at the top of their list.
Weekday Chicago Water Taxi service to Chinatown will end on Friday September 18th, but weekend service will continue until Sunday November 1st. So there is still time to explore the river and appreciate the beautiful natural resources that connect our neighborhoods to the downtown Chicago area. Tickets can be purchased on board or online at https://www.chicagowatertaxi.com/. One way fares to The Chicago Loop is $5.00 and to the Mag Mile is $7.00. All Day Access Passes are $8.00. Bring the entire family!
Chicago Water Taxis are also great for advertising your business! Interior vessel signage and branding opportunities are available to reach out to guests on the boat during their ride. For more information, you please contact Andrew Sargis at firstname.lastname@example.org.
