Historically significant storefronts, architectural oddities and other forgotten gems will be examined. Additionally, the tour will explore some of the surrounding areas, including industrial areas along the Chicago River where architecturally significant but overlooked factory structures still loom large. Last Chance to see The White Snake at The Goodman Theatre!

Mary Zimmerman’s new stage adaptation of The White Snake is a charming tale of girl meets boy and falls head-over-heels in love. The trouble is, the girl is a white serpent from the spirit world who must join the human world in order to attain her heart’s desire—a sincere and simple young man. A vengeful monk, appalled by what he perceives as an immoral relationship, then intends to thwart her pursuit. Can love prevail?  Performances continue through June 8 only. Use promo code SNAKE to get tickets for just $25 – $40 for the final week, June 4-8 (valid for “A” and “B” seating zones only. Not valid through Goodman’s mobile site, on previously purchased tickets or in combination with other offers. Expires June 9, 2014). Tickets can be purchased by telephone at 312.443.3800 or at GoodmanTheatre.org/WhiteSnake or at the box office (170 North Dearborn). Don’t miss it!
