2017 Chicago Dragon Boat Race for Literacy | June 24, 2017 | Ping Tom Memorial Park | 8AM – 4PM
Mark your calendars! The Chinatown Chamber of Commerce will host the 2017 Chicago Dragon Boat Race for Literacy on June 24, 2017 at Ping Tom Memorial Park in Chinatown. This very popular event will feature 30 dragon boat teams racing on the south branch of the Chicago River. In addition to the exciting races, there will be a Free Chinatown Trolley, children's activities, vendor booths, cultural entertainment and more! Thank you to our sponsors!

Chinatown Business Luncheon featuring Toni Preckwinkle, Cook County Board President
The Chamber's next Chinatown Business Luncheon will take place on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at MingHin Cuisine located at 2168 S. Archer Avenue Chicago. The featured speaker will be Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle who will speak on The State of Cook County. 35th Annual Gala and 2017 Miss Friendship Ambassador Pageant
The 2017 Miss Friendship Ambassador Pageant will take place on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at the Hilton Chicago International Ballroom. Pageant contestant applications are now being accepted. Chicago Riverwalk Season Opening Celebration May 20, 2017
Chicago Chinatown Chamber of Commerce and Greater Chicago Dragon Boat Club has partnered with the City of Chicago's Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events to host an Exhibition Dragon Boat Race on the Chicago River during the Chicago Riverwalk Season Opening Celebration taking place on Saturday, May 20, 2017. Plan on enjoying a full day of activities along the Riverwalk and be there at 5:00 pm to watch the exhibition races, view a dragon boat up close and learn about the 2,000 year old tradition of dragon boat racing. Chinatown Immigration Workshop for Business Owners
In partnership with State Representative Theresa Mah, 2nd District, the Chinatown Chamber hosted a workshop for business owners providing a legislative update on immigrantion legislation. Andy Kang, Legal Director at Asian Americans Advancing Justice-Chicago, provided important information about current immigration policies. MillerCoors Chinese Food & Beer Pairing Member Food Services Event
Chinatown Chamber and MillerCoors hosted an event for Chamber food service businesses at the Fred & Adolph Pub on April 27, 2017. Food service member businesses learned about best practices for responsible drinking. Several food dishes generously donated by Chinatown businesses were expertly paired with different MillerCoors beer products. Thank you to MillerCoors, Chiu Quon Bakery & Dim Sum, Evergreen Restaurant, King Wah and Phoenix Bean for their participation and volunteers and staff for their hard work. Asian Pop-Up Cinema Season IV
Asian Pop-Up Cinema Season IV will end its season with the Chicago premier of LOVE, LIES in Korean with English subtitles on May 3rd at 7:00 pm at AMC River East 21.
