2017 Chicago Dragon Boat Race for Literacy

Thank you to everyone who attended the Chinatown Chamber of Commerce’s 17th Annual Chicago Dragon Boat Race for Literacy on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Ping Tom Memorial Park! The weather cooperated beautifully bringing thousands of visitors to the event to enjoy the races, free Chinatown Trolley, amazing cultural performances, fun children’s activities and more! At the Opening Ceremony, Kelly Yee Uchima, 2016 Miss Friendship Ambassador performed an amazing rendition of the National Anthem. The Chicago Dragons Athletic Association wowed the audience with a double lion dance.
